Welcome to my slice of the internet! I've been told I've never met a stranger, so welcome to a place with all things me. Quick high-level about who I am so we can all be on the same page. I'm an engineer at heart, with a passion for leveraging software engineering to solve complex problems in meaningful ways. Even with personal hobbies, I get the most joy out of sharing my work with others. My career has included startups and larger enterprises with a very wide variety of industries. The common thread is building solutions that matter and impacting teams across the organization. This site is my attempt to share things I'm working on, areas I'm passionate about, and some other fun stuff along the way.
How I Tend to Think
I’ve spent most of my career working inside complex systems across technical, organizational, and human domains. Over time, a few patterns have shown up consistently:
Most problems aren’t caused by lack of intelligence or effort, but by unclear thinking and hidden complexity
Systems fail at the seams where responsibility, incentives, and ownership are misaligned
Simple solutions are rarely easy, but they’re usually more durable
Reliability is a design outcome, not an operational afterthought
Good abstractions reduce cognitive load; bad ones just move it around
The best work happens when technical and non-technical people share a common model of the problem
Computers do exactly what they are told. When instructed, they make very fast, very accurate mistakes at scale.
Professional Passions
